First A320neo assembled in Tianjin delivered to AirAsia

 AirAsia has taken delivery of the first A320neo assembled at the Airbus Final Assembly Line Asia (FALA) at a dedicated ceremony in Tianjin, China. The aircraft, powered by CFM LEAP-1A engines, seats comfortably 186 passengers and is equipped with the innovative Space-Flex cabin. AirAsia is the largest airline customer of the A320 Family with orders for 578 aircraft. These include 404 A320neo Family aircraft. GCash leads future of payments in Philippines at Ayala Malls

Thousands of students all over the country recently received gifts of learning – books, brand new school supplies, and art kits - through the SM Store’s recent Donate-A-Book campaign.   Grade school students from Alabang Elementary School were all smiles with their new notebooks and art kits courtesy of The SM Store’s Donate-A-Book campaign.  In this joint project of The SM Store, SM Foundation and Stationery, booths were set up in all The SM Store branches nationwide where customers could donate pre-loved books for various public school areas. A 10-storey  Park Inn by Radisson  Hotel is on the rise at SM City Iloilo Complex. It will be the 3rd  (?) hotel by the Park Inn brand in the Philippines after Davao and Clark. The hotel chain is under the SM Hotels and Convention Centers wing which manages the conglomerate's hospitality development plans.  Park Inn by Radission Iloilo is underconstruction at the far end of SM Southpoint - SM City Iloilo's dining and entertainment strip which houses more than 20 restaurants, cafes and bars. The 200-room (?) hotel will a dining outlet, function rooms, a fitness center and a swimming pool with a pool bar.

US-based Factset expands its operations in the Philippines as it builds its P3-B regional headquarters in McKinley West

Property giant Megaworld is building the regional corporate headquarters of FactSet (NYSE_FDS | NASDAQ: FDS), a global provider of integrated financial information, analytical applications, and industry-leading services. The P3-B office tower will be 17-storeys high, offering 48,000 square meters of office spaces along Le Grand Avenue of the rising McKinley West township in Fort Bonifacio. Globe, Singtel, Optus hold volunteering program in Batangas

Singtel, the largest company listed on the Singapore Exchange, together with its Australian subsidiary Optus participated recently in a volunteering program hosted by its Philippine associate Globe Telecom. AirAsia Moving to Terminal 4 at Singapore Changi Airport

AirAsia will relocate operations at Singapore Changi Airport from Terminal 1 to Terminal 4 effective 7 November 2017. All AirAsia flights scheduled for that day will arrive at and depart from Terminal 4. Departing and arriving flight schedules will not be affected by the move.  Guests departing from Terminal 4 are advised to arrive 3 hours before departure to ensure sufficient time to move through the new terminal, while those arriving in Terminal 4 are advised to inform their loved ones of the change. Guests can reach the terminal via taxi, private hire cars, bus and personal transportation. Those using MRT services will need to head to Terminal 2 arrival hall and take the free shuttle bus service that will ferry guests to Terminal 4. The shuttle bus will be available every 10 minutes for 24 hours a day, every day of the week.

AIDFI bags 3rd ASEAN Leadership Award on Rural Development and Poverty Education

The Alternative Indigenous Development Foundation Inc. (AIDFI) wins the 3rd ASEAN Leadership Award on Rural Development and Poverty Eradication, in conjunction with the 10th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Rural Development and Poverty Eradication (AMRDPE) which was held last October 6 in Kuala Lumpur. AIDFI was among 19 other recipients from 10 ASEAN countries, whose awards were presented by Malaysian Rural and Regional Development Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.  AIDFI was chosen in the non-governmental organizations (NGO) sector while Coffee for Peace based in Davao was chosen in the private sector. Each country had an NGO and Private Sector winner. The ceremony held in the JW Marriot Hotel in Kuala Lumpur was also attended by National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) Lead Convenor Liza L. Globe Telecom: 80% of postpaid mobile customers prefer e-billing

About 80% of Globe Telecom’s postpaid mobile customers are already on e-billing or paperless delivery mode, in step with the company’s sustainability practice to help protect the environment and improve customer experience. The company’s push for e-billing was prompted by numerous customer concerns about delays in delivery of monthly billing statements. Delays in the delivery of bill statements were mostly due to incomplete or changes in customer address, absence of a person to receive the bill, inclement weather, or difficulty of the courier service to deliver in far-flung areas. Following the company’s drive for e-billing, customer complaints on delayed billing statements have significantly gone down. “Understanding that we are now in the digital age, most of our customers prefer to do their regular transactions online. CLI 3Q reservation sales at P3.66 billion; more projects set for launching in 2017

Newly listed property developer Cebu Landmasters Inc. (CLI) is set to exceed its 2017 target of P4 billion in reservations sales from projects in key Visayas-Mindanao cities, disclosed Jose Soberano III, president and CEO. Globe expects 50% of data traffic to come from LTE network by year- end

Amid steady expansion of the company’s LTE coverage and capacities to improve customers’ mobile experience, Globe Telecom expects around 50% of its mobile data traffic to come from LTE network by the end of the year. Mobile data traffic in the first six months of the year soared 85% to 280 petabytes (PB) from 151 PB in the first six months of last year amid steady increase in smartphone penetration, currently estimated at around 67% of total mobile subscribers. Currently, about 43% of the company’s data traffic comes from its LTE network amid the company’s aggressive deployment of LTE sites following its commitment to improve the mobile internet experience in the country, said Joel Agustin, Globe Senior Vice President for Program Governance, Network Technical Group. Community-oriented activities marked the month-long celebration of Carmen Copper Corporation’s 13th Anniversary last September. With the theme “The Responsibility is MINE,” Carmen Copper’s celebration was highlighted with its responsible mining initiatives and giving back to the community programs. The Tabo sa Mina or Market Day in the minesite was held last September 6 where company-assisted farmers and peoples organizations brought their produce to sell to employees at farm gate prices. The Tabo sa Mina is an enterprise development project under the Social Development and Management Program that encourages employees to patronize the produce of local farmers to bring more income to their homes.
