Globe launches better voice call experience with VoLTE & VoWiFi

Globe is launching its Voice Over LTE (VoLTE) service along with Voice Over WiFi (VoWiFi) that aims to improve voice call experience for its customers. These services will initially be available in NCR and to selected customers on May 14, 2020. Qualimed partners with KonsultaMD and BizBox for Telemedicine service

Over month after the implementation of Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) in Metro Manila, QualiMed Health Network launched TeleCheQ, its telemedicine service being delivered in partnership with KonsultaMD (for technology interface) and BizBox (for electronic health records). With TeleCheQ, patients can now avail of online doctor consultation from the safety of their homes. An IOH doctor on duty talks to a patient during a video consultation session; each doctor is assigned a Virtual Room Code, which a patient can use during appointment with a doctor. There has been limited movement within communities since the ECQ in Luzon and in some major provinces was enforced due to COVID-19. Repatriated seafarers on 2GO quarantine facilities stay in touch via Smart

 Repatriated Filipino seafarers will now be able to stay in touch with their families as they complete their mandatory quarantine period through the help of Smart Communications, Inc (Smart). Smart has donated a thousand pre-loaded SIM cards to shipping and logistics company 2GO Group, Inc., which is working with the Department of Transportation (DOTr), Department of Health (DOH) and Overseas Workers Welfare Association (OWWA) to facilitate the 14-day quarantine of repatriated seafarers. These SIMs would help returning Filipino seafarers on these 2GO sea vessels that have been temporarily turned into shelters, to connect with their families. Aside from that, Smart has also provided ten (10) mobile phones to the ships so that the seafarers can call their loved ones for free.
