One of the most anticipated events of the Masskara Festival, the Electric Masskara, will kick off at the Ayala Malls Capitol Central this year. The Electric Masskara 2019 will start with the sending-off of floats and the Grand Masskara Light Show at the Corte Area of Ayala Malls Capitol Central at on October 25, 2019, 5:30 PM. The exciting night parade is bigger and grander this year with performances of local artists such as Nadine Lustre, Kristel Fulgar, Juan Karlos, Rivermaya, and G-Force Philippines. Local food stalls featuring a taste of Bacolod City will also be set up in designated areas along Lacson Street during the festival.

Google Developer Group (GDG) Cebu is bringing back the biggest Google Tech Conference in the Philippines, DevFest Cebu 2019 on November 16, 2019. GDG DevFests are large community-run events that provide the opportunity for tech-savvy individuals to learn about the latest technologies and other developer products. International and local experts will discuss different topics such as machine learning, automated testing, internet of things (IoT), mobile development and other technologies by Google.

One of Bacolod’s most awaited night of the year, the coronation of the MassKara Queen 2019, is happening at Ayala Malls Capitol Central. Ten candidates will be competing to be crowned MassKara Queen 2019 of this year’s MassKara Festival, the biggest festival in Bacolod City. The candidates are Christine Mendoza, Roem Alcaen, Moira Maci Abesamis, Andrea Sagario, Trecia Tuquero, Vina Marie Peña, Chaira Victoria Juarez, Chainee May Ang, Janine Cabrillos, and Queenie Edessa Amarante.

With many schoolchildren being able to access the internet without adult supervision, they are inadvertently exposed to indecent photos and videos which may not be limited to just actual search anymore. Online sites have found creative ways to lure the youth into checking out sexually-charged materials through keywords that may seem harmless, spam emails, or unrelated topics, to expose them involuntarily to sexual activities. Much worse is that friends and even strangers are able to force children to share naked photos or videos of them engaging in sexual activities. 

It will be a weekend full of amazing surprises for Bacolod City as several events are lined-up at Ayala Malls Capitol Central in time for the MassKara Festival. There will be a three day mallwide sale where shoppers can enjoy up to 70% discount on their favorite brands starting on October 18 to October 20, 2019. On October 19, mall hours will be extended until midnight. “This year’s MassKara Festival Celebration is extra special for us. The international brand, Uniqlo, will open its 60th store in the Philippines at Ayala Malls Capitol Central on October 18. Cine Europa goes back again in Iloilo City for the 7th time from 9 to 13 October 2019.  "De Marathon" from Netherlands will certainly capture your heart and bring not only smiles but laughter as you watch this comedy-adventure film.  Directed by Diederick Koopal, the film talks about four out-of-shape men working at a car shop who decided to join a marathon to recuperate from a debt. How they try to cope with life's adversities and maintain their good relations will be the theme of the story.  Diederick Koopal, a noted director, won for this film the "Audience Award" and the "Dutch Film Critics Award" in the Netherlands Film Festival.  Public screenings will be held at SM Iloilo and at the Film Development Center Cinematheque.
