“We are excited to launch this partnership with Wendy’s Philippines. They are widely-known for their mouthwatering burgers and fries. I am personally a fan of their salad bar. So we are happy to announce that customers can now use their GCash to pay at any Wendy’s branch in the country. This will make their dining experience more convenient plus we will have cool promos in support of this partnership,” said Albert O. Tinio, CEO of GCash.
“At Wendy’s Philippines, we always make sure we serve freshly cooked burgers and fries. We are always trying to innovate to make our customers’ dining experience more convenient. This partnership with GCash is a good step to that direction since customers can now pay using their GCash via the Scan-to-Pay technology. No more waiting for your change or sign credit card slips. They can simply scan the QR Code, type the amount, and pay via the GCash App,” said Walter Mariner, Operations Director of Wendy’s Philippines.
Using the Scan to Pay feature of GCash is simple. A customer with an iPhone or an Android smartphone only needs to download or update to the latest version of the GCash App, register an account, and fund GCash wallet at any of over 15,000 GCash Partner Outlets nationwide. Once done, the customer just has to tap on Scan QR, point a phone’s camera at the partner’s QR code, and pay.
