Globe Telecom, through its enterprise Information and Communications Technology arm Globe Business, and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) make it easier for Filipino businesses and consumers to air their issues and concerns via the 1-DTI (1-384) consumer hotline which is now ready to accept calls.
Globe prepaid and postpaid customers nationwide have the added advantage of being able to call 1-DTI for free through their mobile phone even without load. The 1-DTI consumer hotline serves as an express connection to reach DTI for specific concerns such as complaints, policy-advisory services, and inquiries to name a few.
“DTI, as the country’s authority for business and consumer protection, aims to make the 1-DTI consumer hotline accessible for the Filipino people at no cost. We commend Globe Telecom for collaborating with us in making our vision a reality,” said Department of Trade and Industry Secretary Ramon Lopez during the hotline launch.
Globe President and CEO Ernest Cu said: “being a prime enabler of the 1-DTI hotline initiative gives us a sense of achievement and responsibility. This pushes us to strive for excellence and commit to our purpose to help build our nation.”
This partnership with DTI on the hotline is also in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal No. 9 which emphasizes the need for investment in infrastructure and innovation, being identified as crucial drivers of economic growth and development.
Globe Business is leading the way in encouraging local government units to adopt the integration of ICT and governance as a means of improving the delivery of government services and exchange of information. The said initiative supports Globe Telecom's drive to transform the Philippines into a digital nation by instilling the importance of eGovernance to government offices.
