GoWiFi is a public hotspot service by Globe Telecom that provides customers a better WiFi experience. GoWiFi had already expanded its services last year to over 1500 locations and more than 10,000 access points all over the Philippines. These include major malls (Ayala Malls, Robinsons Malls, SM Supermalls, Megaworld Malls), select convenience stores, coffee shops, restaurants, airports, LRT/MRT train stations, hospitals, and schools. Anyone can connect to the public hotspot through their WiFi-enabled phone or gadget, regardless of the network provider.


The Free GoWiFi comes with free access of 15 minutes to 2 hours per user every day. Connecting to this service is easy. Just enable your WiFi settings and connect to @FreeGoWiFi hotspot. A portal will pop-up, follow the instructions, click GO and start surfing. 

To further highlight its various benefits – speed, no passwords, instant connection, and availability in over a thousand locations – GoWiFi also recently launched an ad campaign called the #FindYourConnection series. The videos, which talk about finding the right WiFi for you and equating it to finding your right match in love, can be found on the GoWiFi Facebook page.

GoWiFi is also offering a special promo on their Facebook page where couples can get in on the #HowIFoundMyConnection fun by sharing their own personal love stories! GCash cautions against gambling apps used for phishing

A recent investigation by the National Privacy Commission (NPC) and the leading mobile wallet GCash, has led to the discovery of certain gambling sites and apps which were used for account takeovers in the recent surge of phishing scams. Additionally, some influencers may have unknowingly promoted these gaming apps without being aware of their fraudulent nature. GCash is now cautioning its users to be extremely careful when accessing online gambling sites and apps, and to avoid them altogether if possible.
