HMR Trading Haus Iloilo to open April 7

HMR Trading Haus will open Iloilo branch on April 7, 2018, offering Ilonggos quality surplus goods at affordable prices in time for the summer season.
HMR Iloilo, HMR’s second branch in the Visayas and the 21st in the country, will be located inside SM Hypermarket, Corner Commission Civil, Jalandoni Street, Jaro, Iloilo City.
Soon to serve the Ilonggos - HMr Trading House Iloilo at SM Hypermarket in Jaro, Iloilo City.

“After we launched in Cebu, our first in the Visayas, we were already looking forward to opening more branches in the region,” said Juliet Ines, Retail Marketing Manager of HMR Philippines.
HMR sells a wide range of items --- from industrial tools, home and office furniture, audio and video equipment, electronics and gadgets, sporting goods, branded apparel, toys, and other novelty items.

“When you choose to buy surplus, you can get quality products for only a fraction of the retail price. Plus, most of our items in HMR are overruns and shelf pulls from leading retail outlets all over the world as well as second hand furniture from five star hotels and quality pre-owned office equipment. They are as good as brand new,” said Ines.   
“Ilonggos now have a place to shop for personal use and for their businesses. HMR caters to various industries including contractors, hotel & resorts, Logistics companies, business owners and bargain buyers. In line with our product range we also offer generator and aircon installation as well as maintenance services. We also specialize in customized shelving and racking systems,” said Sharlene Carman-Powell, Sales & Marketing Director of HMR Philippines.
“Ilonggo families can buy all their summer season needs including a whole range of tents, outdoor recreational equipment as well as durable inflatable fishing boats and paddle boards,” said Ines.

GCash cautions against gambling apps used for phishing

A recent investigation by the National Privacy Commission (NPC) and the leading mobile wallet GCash, has led to the discovery of certain gambling sites and apps which were used for account takeovers in the recent surge of phishing scams. Additionally, some influencers may have unknowingly promoted these gaming apps without being aware of their fraudulent nature. GCash is now cautioning its users to be extremely careful when accessing online gambling sites and apps, and to avoid them altogether if possible. In this latest scheme, perpetrators created gambling apps while falsely claiming to be accredited by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR). These apps deceive users with a verification process, redirecting them to a fake GCash website or payment page to top up betting credits.
