SM City Iloilo employees recently held a gift-giving program to bring joy to children in partnership with the One Meal Program and the Department of Social Welfare and Development VI. The children were treated to a story-telling session, games, mascot appearance by Jollibee, SM Storyland rides, food and were given the SM Cares Bears of Joy.
The program is part of the Employee Volunteerism Program (EVP) that aims to encourage the employees to take part in worthwhile community projects outside of their work routines. The budget used for the project came from their personal efforts which are proceeds of their fund-raising project inside the office.
Previous SM Employees Volunteerism Programs were assistance to the Brigada Eskwela of Donato Pison Elementary School wherein the employees painted tables and chairs, as well as fix doors and reactivate the drinking fountain of the school and the donation of new chairs and table at Bolilao Elementary School to name a few. The employees also contributed to the installation of the fence in the activity area of the Felicidad Sy Wellness Center for Senior Citizens in Molo district.
