The high demand of office space for BPO at the Iloilo Business Park has prompted Megaworld to fast track its development to cater to the need.
At present, Megaworld’s IBP hosts seven BPO companies with a workforce of around 15,000 and this is expected to balloon to around 40,000 by 2020.

“During the last three years, we have experienced a spike in the demand for office spaces in Iloilo Business Park” says Jericho Go, senior vice president, Megaworld. “Thus, we expedited the construction of our first four towers and decided to build more to meet the demand.
And this 2017, Megaworld is set to open two new office – Two Techno Place and Festive Walk Office tower.
Two Technoplace is a five-level office building with an estimated leasable space of around 12,000 sqm and is expected to house around 3,000 jobs when completed. Festive Walk Office Tower, on the other hand will be able to generate around 4,000 jobs with its 12,000 sqm. leasable space on its 4-levels.
“We continue to see a bright prospect in Iloilo’s BPO Industry as several companies, most of them first-timers in Iloilo, wan to come in and expand at IBP”, adds Go.

Currently, there are five BPO companies at the Iloilo Business Park –Startek, Transcom, Reed Elsevier, WNS and IQor, leasing around 45,000 sqm of office space.
Megaworld estimates that by 2020, its BPO office portfolio for IBP will be around half of its projected Visayas BPO Triangle (Iloilo Business Park, Cebu’s Mactan Newtown and Bacolod’s Upper East townships) projection of 200,000 sqm.
