Australia Nursing Career Expo with Enhance Visa

Filipino nurses could take advantage of the huge demand for skilled nurses in Australia during the nursing career expo in Cebu on March 4, 2017.

The Australia Nursing Career Expo (ANCE) this March 4, 2017 at Radisson Blu Hotel, Cebu City is the second leg of the series of events organized for nurses aspiring to achieve global success through international education and employment abroad.

This event is open to nursing professionals and students, with or without experience.

Featured in this event is Vikram Sharma, CEO and Director of Lawson College and a certified Australian Registered Migration Agent, who will discuss about how Filipino nurses can achieve industry standard qualifications to land stable jobs in Australia.

Achieving employability

Filipino nurses in Cebu will get firsthand information on how they can start a successful career in nursing and become permanent residents in Australia.

Attendees will be introduced to the job ready programs offered by Lawson College aimed at training overseas nurses for employment in Australia.

As an Australian Registered Migration Agent, Sharma will also share about the latest trends in immigration.

Located in Melbourne, one of the most liveable cities in the world, Lawson College has been a partner with Enhance Visa in helping nurses in the Philippines achieve their goals of greener pastures.

“Our aim is the success of our clients. We want to help them achieve their professional goals for a global career through skills training. Our goal is to prepare them for future work in Australia or overseas,” says Sharma.

Why Australia is a good place for nurses? Australia is one of the best places to immigrate. In a recent Social Progress Ranking, Australia is top 5 in 12 countries that offer the highest quality of life in the world.

Three of its major cities are among the most livable places on Earth according to a 2016 Mercer survey. More importantly, Australia is one of the world’s high paying countries for healthcare professionals. Nurses in Australia earn as much as 40,000 - 80,000 AUD a year.

The Australian government has also recently announced the increase in demand for nurses, especially high skilled ones, in the next five years as their aging population continues to rise.

The above statistics indicate that Australia is a good place for Filipino nurses to explore career expansion opportunities. Through the ANCE, Enhance Visa aims to equip local nurses with the right knowledge on how to own this global opportunity.

Enhance Visa has been providing comprehensive immigration solutions to Canada, Australia and New Zealand for the past 22 years. The company seeks to help more Filipinos build their dreams of a more stable and permanent future for them and their families.

GCash cautions against gambling apps used for phishing

A recent investigation by the National Privacy Commission (NPC) and the leading mobile wallet GCash, has led to the discovery of certain gambling sites and apps which were used for account takeovers in the recent surge of phishing scams. Additionally, some influencers may have unknowingly promoted these gaming apps without being aware of their fraudulent nature. GCash is now cautioning its users to be extremely careful when accessing online gambling sites and apps, and to avoid them altogether if possible. In this latest scheme, perpetrators created gambling apps while falsely claiming to be accredited by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR). These apps deceive users with a verification process, redirecting them to a fake GCash website or payment page to top up betting credits. From there, fraudsters were able to access sensitive information such as credit card details, passwords, GCash numbers, MPINs, OTPs, and other personal data that can be exploited to gain unau...
