John Lloyd Cruz delights viewers, netizens with TV comeback on GMA Network

 

Viewers went gaga over the much anticipated TV appearance of actor John Lloyd Cruz at the Shopee 6.6 Mid-Year Sale TV Special on GMA Network last Sunday, June 6.

This was the first time the actor was seen performing on screen since his showbiz hiatus back in 2017. During the TV spectacle, he treated his fans to a rendition of the song ‘Yakap.’



It was obvious that the public missed seeing the talented actor in front of the camera. Said TV special gained positive feedback from both viewers and netizens. Based on Nielsen Phils.' overnight data, the special posted 38.2 percent people audience share in NUTAM and was among the Top Trending topics in the country on Twitter.

 


John Lloyd also expressed his gratitude to Wowowin host Willie Revillame who played a major role in the actor's return on screen, “Nagpapasalamat ako sa'yo (Willie), nandito ako, excited to be back... Nandito ako dahil sa'yo so thank you."

 


Willie responded with a heartfelt message, "Lloydie, 'yung sumuporta sa 'yo ng sambayanang Pilipino, I think sila ang dapat mong pasalamatan kaya ka nandito. Nadidinig ko, nararamdaman ko ang pagmamahal sa 'yo ng tao, Welcome back sa industriya kung saan ka nagsimula, at alam ko dito tayo magtatapos din. Welcome back, John Lloyd Cruz!"

 

Moreover, they were happy to announce that John Lloyd will appear in a primetime show alongside Willie on GMA.

GCash cautions against gambling apps used for phishing

A recent investigation by the National Privacy Commission (NPC) and the leading mobile wallet GCash, has led to the discovery of certain gambling sites and apps which were used for account takeovers in the recent surge of phishing scams. Additionally, some influencers may have unknowingly promoted these gaming apps without being aware of their fraudulent nature. GCash is now cautioning its users to be extremely careful when accessing online gambling sites and apps, and to avoid them altogether if possible.
