The Valentine Dinner Buffet at The Promenade at Days Hotel Iloilo is no doubt among the top Valentine gastronomic events in the city during Hearts' Day.
But with CoViD-19 still within our midst, this post will just be made of the taste memories of the previous year.
Dubbed as FEAST OF THE HEART, it is one of the most indulgent buffets the hotel has to offer throughout the year with its wide selection of food.
From hors d'oeuvres, soups and breads to the organic salad bar, sushi & sashimi, main entrees, carvint station and desserts, it's all one big delicious gastromantic celebration!

And for the NTH year, I spent Valentine's Day 2020 together with the Iloilo Bloggers Inc. indulging in the sumptuous offerings Days Hotel Iloilo has in store during the most romantic day of the year.

Let's whet up our appetites with the HORS D' OUEVRES/APPETIZERS/SOUP Stations.
Breads come in many variants - white loaf, wheat, dinner rolls and so much more. With a quick toast, any of these are just perfect for the soup.
Make your own salad in this organic salad bar with vegetables coming from Orchard Valley. I always make my default fresh salad consisting of cucumbers, pineapple, carrots, jicama and egg embraced by thousand island dressing.
But you can have a ready-made Russian Salad which seemed to be within the taste scope of my own creation.
How about some Baked Oysters? Love adding some Tabasco to these for some kick.

Aside from the APPETIZERS/STARTERS Station, there's my fave Italian station with pizzas and pasta which you can make on your own.
Dainty pizza bites so that you won't pile up on carbs!

Sashimi! Loved the way it was presented. I regret not having a selfie with it! So I just had lots of it to make up for it!

Roast Beef! Need I say more?! Really love the sauce too!
And when you get to the MAIN ENTREES, you'd probably make some belt adjustments - as I always do!

Something fishy and fried! Though it may seem common, I loved how crispy and well seasoned it was.

Lovee this Pork with apples! I Christened this " Estofado Alta Sociedad".
Don't get tongue-tied with this delectable Lengua. As always my favorite.
And my (and almost everybody's) favorite station - DESSERTS!
Heart-shaped French Macarons that come in Choco Mint and Strawberry Nutella. I had more of the former since I am a sucker for anything chocomint.
Loved this M&Ms Brownie or was it butterscotch? The chocolatey burst was delicious that I had to come back for more.
Mini Toblerone Cupcakes! CHOCOLATE OVERLOAD! And it's Toblerone!

Snickers cheesecake! This is Indulgence becoming a dessert!
Chocolate lovers' ultimate moist cake with Ferrero. Gotta have them all!
Strawberry Trifle with Beryl's White Chocolate.

Always my favorite - chocolate covered fresh strawberries! Might have eaten a dozen!
Fresh fruits remind us all to be healthy.
And as if all the chocolates and sweets weren't enough - everybody got to take some chocolatey sweet raffle prizes. Except to those lucky ones who got the May Sparkling juice.
