The idea for the project was inspired from the life story of Henry Sy, on how he came from building a small shoe store in Quiapo to establishing the largest shopping retail operator in the Philippines: SM Prime Holdings.
Each pair of shoes came with a card with a message of inspiration for the recipient, personally written by the employee who bought the particular pair/s.
Ticud Elementary School principal Girlie Gabinete, thankfully welcomed the team as she delivered her message in behalf of the school.
Asst. Mall Manager Marilee Biboso in her remarks reiterated the importance of education and how a good pair of a shoes can greatly help in the daily grind of the students in going to school.
