SMS Hospitality Network and Atharra Primeland Development Corp. signed a Hotel Management Agreement for Atharra Suites Panglao


Atharra Primeland Development Corporation recently signed a hotel management agreement with Manila-based SMS Hospitality Network to fully manage their 221-rooms hotel named Atharra Suites Panglao.

The business partnership is set to propel Atharra Primeland’s business expansion in the beautiful island destination of Bohol.



The contract signing was held last June 09, 2022 in Modala Beach Resort, Panglao Island and attended by SMS and Atharra Primeland’s top executives.

Atharra Suites Panglao is set to be the newest and most stylish hotel in Panglao, targeting the discerning “bleisure” travelers.

Mr. Nikki Rocha, President and CEO of SMS Hospitality believes that combining business and leisure travel is no longer a luxury but rather a necessity. “With the emergence of remote work location set up as well as the vibe and energy a co-working space can offer, modern travelers can now have the flexibility of working far from their homes to their favorite holiday destination in order to satisfy their fun-filled travel without compromising productivity” Mr. Rocha explained.

“Our coffeeshop will have the energy of a co-working space where you can build your network while sipping your favorite espresso or perhaps having a night cap with a glass of wine in our rooftop bar while inking a million-Peso deal with the picturesque view of Panglao Beach as the backdrop. For those bringing along their families, they can enjoy our Instagram-worthy swimming pool or just stroll along the beach which is just few meters away”, Mr. Francis Asuncion, Managing Director of SMS Hospitality further added.

Atharra Primeland Chairman, Mr. Alfonso Damalerio II excitedly shared that Panglao Island will be the next main gateway of the Philippines with the opening of the new Bohol-Panglao International Airport. “We are ready to welcome not only the locals but foreign visitors alike with the continued easing of travel restrictions globally” he said.

“Bohol is not just a beach destination. It has many things to offer. We have many ecotourism spots, historical sites, delectable foods and of course the warm and friendly hospitality Bol-anons are known for”. Mr. Godfrey Digal, Atharra Primeland President shared.

Atharra Suites Panglao is expected to open next year, 2023.

GCash cautions against gambling apps used for phishing

A recent investigation by the National Privacy Commission (NPC) and the leading mobile wallet GCash, has led to the discovery of certain gambling sites and apps which were used for account takeovers in the recent surge of phishing scams.
