Globe myBusiness gives back to its loyal partners

Globe myBusiness gives back to its loyal business partners in recognition of the constant support for Globe products and services that micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) provide over the years.

Beginning with the Globe 917 celebration last month which was inspired by the company’s original 917 prefix, Globe myBusiness lined up a number of customer rewards and surprises for its long-standing clients as a way of saying thank you.

First, it curated special experiences for business partners to enjoy, such as free merchant space during Globe myBusiness  917 Treat Street Bazaar which gave entrepreneurs a chance to showcase their products and services to a wide audience.

To show gratefulness for their trust, Globe myBusiness gave away gifts to loyal partner businesses while orchestrating exciting visits to add an element of fun. Customers were also gifted with credits that allowed them to claim items of choice in a Giftaway portal. SMEs were rewarded with Php200 worth of eGCs from select retailers such as National Bookstore, SM, Robinson’s, CBTL, and more.  SME customers were also surprised by their account managers with gifts such as donuts and cakes for sharing with their employees.

The total Globe initiative gave out rewards points to Postpaid subscribers based on their tenure but Globe myBusiness took things one step further by including their Internet and ICT customers.

“We want to be more than just a provider of connectivity and other digital solutions but a true partner in every entrepreneur’s business journey but we cannot achieve this without the constant support of our partner businesses. Knowing this, we are returning the love by giving back to our most loyal customers,” said Ces Porto, Marketing Head of Globe myBusiness.

Globe myBusiness was created to guide, support and enable MSMEs towards a goal-oriented, progress-driven and technology-supported tomorrow. With its online platform Globe myBusiness Academy, they are able to provide helpful tips and tricks for business owners as well as insights from some of the best workshops and events in various industries. Through partnerships with business ambassadors, Globe myBusiness creates avenues for entrepreneurs to showcase their products and the stories behind them. Finally, with the various business tools it offers, the brand goes right to the heart of Filipino MSMEs’ needs and gives solutions to their problems.

GCash cautions against gambling apps used for phishing

A recent investigation by the National Privacy Commission (NPC) and the leading mobile wallet GCash, has led to the discovery of certain gambling sites and apps which were used for account takeovers in the recent surge of phishing scams. Additionally, some influencers may have unknowingly promoted these gaming apps without being aware of their fraudulent nature. GCash is now cautioning its users to be extremely careful when accessing online gambling sites and apps, and to avoid them altogether if possible. In this latest scheme, perpetrators created gambling apps while falsely claiming to be accredited by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR). These apps deceive users with a verification process, redirecting them to a fake GCash website or payment page to top up betting credits. From there, fraudsters were able to access sensitive information such as credit card details, passwords, GCash numbers, MPINs, OTPs, and other personal data that can be exploited to gain unau...
