AirAsia sponsors KBS drama "On the Way to the Airport"

​​SEOUL, 23 September 2016 - AirAsia, Asia's leading and largest low-cost airline, is proud to announce its sponsorship of Korean drama "On the Way to the Airport" by Korean Broadcasting System (KBS).

The drama, which stars Lee Sang-Yoon and Kim Ha-Neul, explores the relationships of thirtysomethings working in the aviation industry, with the main characters depicted as an AirAsia pilot and cabin crew.

All filming of scenes related to the aviation industry and scenes in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, were fully sponsored by AirAsia.

To celebrate the sponsorship and on-air debut of the drama, AirAsia will hold a prize giveaway for viewers, which includes goodies such as scale model aircraft signed by AirAsia's brand ambassador in Korea Park Ji-Sung.

"On the Way to the Airport" airs at 10pm (GMT +9) every Wednesday and Thursday on KBS 2TV.

GCash cautions against gambling apps used for phishing

A recent investigation by the National Privacy Commission (NPC) and the leading mobile wallet GCash, has led to the discovery of certain gambling sites and apps which were used for account takeovers in the recent surge of phishing scams. Additionally, some influencers may have unknowingly promoted these gaming apps without being aware of their fraudulent nature. GCash is now cautioning its users to be extremely careful when accessing online gambling sites and apps, and to avoid them altogether if possible. In this latest scheme, perpetrators created gambling apps while falsely claiming to be accredited by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).
