GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon’ welcomes new anchor

Cris Zuñiga joins roster of award-winning Kapuso journalists

As media giant GMA Network remains true to its “Local News Matters” campaign, the award-winning and leading local newscast ‘GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon’ introduces and welcomes its new anchor, Cris Zuñiga.

‘GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon’ airs weekdays at 5 p.m. via GMA Regional TV channels on free TV and on GMA Affordabox and GMA Now.

Likewise delivering news and information in North Central Luzon is the morning newscast ‘Mornings with GMA Regional TV,’ which is now anchored by award-winning broadcast journalists CJ Torida and Joanne Ponsoy. CJ and Joanne bring the morning news on weekdays at 8 a.m. live from the state-of-the-art studios in GMA Dagupan Station, GMA Ilocos Sur Station, and GMA Ilocos Norte Station.

Joining CJ, Joanne, and Cris in providing news updates in the region are seasoned regional correspondents Jasmin Gabriel-Galban, Russel Simorio, Claire Lacanilao, Ivy Hernando, Breves Bulsao, and Gab de Luna. Completing the team is a wide network of local news stringers all over North Central Luzon.

GCash cautions against gambling apps used for phishing

A recent investigation by the National Privacy Commission (NPC) and the leading mobile wallet GCash, has led to the discovery of certain gambling sites and apps which were used for account takeovers in the recent surge of phishing scams. Additionally, some influencers may have unknowingly promoted these gaming apps without being aware of their fraudulent nature. GCash is now cautioning its users to be extremely careful when accessing online gambling sites and apps, and to avoid them altogether if possible.
