She Said Yes: Cebu Pacific Proposal at 30,000 feet

Love is truly in the air at Cebu Pacific Air, as CEB’s passenger popped the question inflight earlier last week. The couple, Christian de Leon and Angel Shae Jose, met when they were in college. To celebrate Shae’s birthday, they planned a trip to Boracay with none other than CEB as their airline of choice. Little did Shae know, Christian had another surprise planned for her on their flight back to Manila on September 12, 2022. 

In the middle of CEB’s trademark Fun Games led by the cabin crew, Christian stood up to deliver his speech, and eventually popped the special question. 


“For now, I would love to meet you down this aisle to answer my question – will you marry me?” Christian says as he wraps up his proposal speech.

Christian had already informed the CEB team of his plan, and the airline was more than happy to take part in this couple’s special moment. 

"On the day I was going to work (Boracay), I really didn’t have a fixed plan on how to propose to her. It was her birthday weekend and I wanted to make this trip extra special. Upon entering the airport gates, I came across an Ad from Cebu Pacific that said “make moment happen” and this encouraged me to make this flight one she’ll never forget," Christian stated. Christian and Shae were able to share their special moment with CEB and its passengers as Shae gave her sweet "Yes," while flying high at 30,000 feet.

Cebu Pacific shared more love to the newly-engaged couple by gifting them with two round-trip flights from Manila to Seoul (Incheon), allowing them to fly once more and make more moments happen with CEB.

GCash cautions against gambling apps used for phishing

A recent investigation by the National Privacy Commission (NPC) and the leading mobile wallet GCash, has led to the discovery of certain gambling sites and apps which were used for account takeovers in the recent surge of phishing scams.
