Celebrating the Filipina : Women stay winning in fun activities at Festive Walk Iloilo this March!


The Filipina is winning at Festive Walk Iloilo’s Women’s Month celebration this whole month of March! The premier lifestyle mall in Iloilo is recognizing and empowering every strong, independent lady by launching their campaign “Winning Women”. 


In appreciation of the priceless contributions of the outstanding Ilonggas in the community, Festive Walk Iloilo created the recognition program, Ang Ilongga Awards, which will be launched this March. 


Stand in awe of how kind and powerful a woman can be, in a gallery featuring photos of Ilonggas in action during the pandemic. Titled Empowered Young Women, the exhibition shows how the Filipina can be extraordinary in the most challenging of times. The showcase was done in partnership with non-government organization JCI Iloilo Ilang-Ilang, which is an all-female group of young, active citizens.


To bring forward the talent of Ilonggas and support them in the field of arts, guests can visit the Spotlight on the Filipina grand painting showcase, helmed by brilliant women artists Pam Reyes, Gina Apostol, and Adhara Sebuado. 


The incredible beauty of the Filipina is seen in the strength she displays everyday. Festive Walk Iloilo wants to treat them through a free beauty session so they can face the world with even more confidence everyday. In collaboration with award-winning beauty brand Toni & Guy, Festive Walk Iloilo organized a Facebook live where viewers can learn how to do makeup in the new normal, and get more practically beauty tips straight from the experts.

GCash cautions against gambling apps used for phishing

A recent investigation by the National Privacy Commission (NPC) and the leading mobile wallet GCash, has led to the discovery of certain gambling sites and apps which were used for account takeovers in the recent surge of phishing scams. Additionally, some influencers may have unknowingly promoted these gaming apps without being aware of their fraudulent nature. GCash is now cautioning its users to be extremely careful when accessing online gambling sites and apps, and to avoid them altogether if possible.
