Globe myBusiness brings together Filipino-Chinese entrepreneurs of all ages and business stages to attend the opening salvo of Create. Modern Tao Ke (Boss): Chinoypreneurs’ Guide to a Prosperous Year of the Metal Rat.

Globe myBusiness is all about being one with the Filipino entrepreneur. More than a provider of  solutions, services, and technology know-how, it aims to be a trusted partner that shares in the Filipino SME’s success. To celebrate with the Filipino-Chinese business owners of Metro Manila, Globe myBusiness celebrated Chinese New Year last January 25, 2020 by joining Chinese New Year Parade in Binondo.

But even prior to Chinese New Year, Globe myBusiness already joined in the fun by co-presenting the Create. Modern Tao Ke event with Chinoy TV last January 21 at the Chinatown Museum in Binondo, Manila. Featuring the renowned Feng Shui Master, Ms. Marites Allen, and hosted by Ms. Earth 2019 Janelle Tee, the event was a great success for Filipino-Chinese entrepreneurs in all stages of their business journeys.

Starting with an informative and entertaining tour of Chinatown Museum and ending with a highly sought-after 2020 Feng Shui forecast from Ms. Allen herself, the event was poised to help entrepreneurs garner business success throughout the year. Entrepreneurs were also treated to refreshments care of Hotel Lucky Chinatown in early celebration of Chinese New Year, and lucky attendees won raffle prizes throughout the event.

The Create. Modern Tao Ke series doesn’t end there. The series is a year-round activity catering specifically to Chinoypreneurs. Following the Create. Modern Tao Ke event, Globe myBusiness also participated in the Chinese New Year Parade on January 25, celebrating the beginning of a new decade with their Chinoypreneur friends and partners.

GCash cautions against gambling apps used for phishing

A recent investigation by the National Privacy Commission (NPC) and the leading mobile wallet GCash, has led to the discovery of certain gambling sites and apps which were used for account takeovers in the recent surge of phishing scams. Additionally, some influencers may have unknowingly promoted these gaming apps without being aware of their fraudulent nature. GCash is now cautioning its users to be extremely careful when accessing online gambling sites and apps, and to avoid them altogether if possible. In this latest scheme, perpetrators created gambling apps while falsely claiming to be accredited by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR). These apps deceive users with a verification process, redirecting them to a fake GCash website or payment page to top up betting credits.
