beIN Sports Connect launched in PH with Globe

Multi-platform media company beIN Asia Pacific today announced the official launch of beIN SPORTS CONNECT, an online streaming football player, in the Philippines. In partnership with PH’s number one mobile brand, Globe, local fans will now have unparalleled access to some of the greatest football action from around the world including Premier League, LaLiga, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, Ligue 1, MLS, Superliga Argentina, Turkish Süper Lig, Hyundai A-League, and more.

For its PH launch, beIN SPORTS CONNECT will initially be available to all Globe Prepaid and TM customers with a limited time offer of ₱20 for a One-Day package and ₱200 for a One-Month package through Globe Direct Carrier Billing. 

beIN is also offering free all-access weekend starting from 3 March 0000 hours to 5 March 0200 hours.  Matches which are part of this free weekend include Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid and Manchester City vs Chelsea. 

In addition to the three beIN channels - beIN SPORTS 1, 2, and 3, users can choose from a wide array of additional LIVE matches through any connected mobile device, laptop and desktop computer.  They can also set alert reminders, pause and rewind LIVE matches, Chromecast or AirPlay on a smart TV, and enjoy games in HD.  With all these new exciting features, users will have full control of setting their viewing agenda.

GCash cautions against gambling apps used for phishing

A recent investigation by the National Privacy Commission (NPC) and the leading mobile wallet GCash, has led to the discovery of certain gambling sites and apps which were used for account takeovers in the recent surge of phishing scams.
