S&R Iloilo will open in 2016

Wholesale club giant S&R will set its footprint in Iloilo city and will open its doors by 2016. In a courtesy visit with Iloilo City  Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog, S&R President Mr Anthony Sy said he was impressed with the development of Iloilo City
"Pinipili po namin ang mga cities na pinapatayuan namin" said Sy. "We have a checklist of requirements na dapat ma meet ng city and number one po doon and very important para sa amin ay ang local governance"

Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog assured S&R that the city of Iloilo is a business friendly city and its one of the Top 5 Most Business Friendly City in the country.
The mayor told them that the Business Processing and Licensing Office is one of the only 2 cities in the Phils that were given a level Blue Certification by Ombudsman for transparency, efficiency, and technological innovations against red tape.

"Iloilo City, not only that the city govt has meet our requirements but it HAS FAR EXCEEDED them." Sy said on a closing note
This is a confirmation of talks that circulated more than a year ago that the membership shopping company has set its eyes in Iloilo after a posting in JobsDB.com surfaced.
Now these delicious muffins will be a lot closer to the Ilonggos than ever!

GCash cautions against gambling apps used for phishing

A recent investigation by the National Privacy Commission (NPC) and the leading mobile wallet GCash, has led to the discovery of certain gambling sites and apps which were used for account takeovers in the recent surge of phishing scams. Additionally, some influencers may have unknowingly promoted these gaming apps without being aware of their fraudulent nature. GCash is now cautioning its users to be extremely careful when accessing online gambling sites and apps, and to avoid them altogether if possible.
