SM City Iloilo took in its new batch of senior citizens under its Senior Citizen Community Service Program.
Every weekend, these elderly staff work for 4 hours in 2 days and are given compensation in accordance with the Regional Wage Order plus 15% premium. The staff are also on duty during holidays.
The staff are members of the Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA)-Iloilo, where the mall is in close coordination in various projects that uplifts the well-being of the sector. The new batch inclues Mrs. Mary Lou R. Alicaya, Mr. Arturo A. Ninto, Ms. Gloria B. Imballa, Ms. Araceli G. Tanoy and Mr. Jose M. De Los Angeles
The program is under the SM Cares Committee on Senior Citizens Affairs in-charge of the company’s advocacy to the elderly sector, who are considered vital partners in nation building.
