Startup Cloud Camp, a free and fun event focused on “cloud solutions” or business services that involve the storage and accessing of your data and programs over the internet instead of your computer’s hard drive, will go to Iloilo City come Saturday, June 6, 2015.
Organized by Microsoft Philippines and TechTalks.ph, a non-profit organization for tech, business, and startup enthusiasts, Startup Cloud Camp is open to tech entrepreneurs, academics, students, and enthusiasts interested in the latest developments in the tech world.
TechTalks.ph founder Tina Amper is especially inviting startups or innovation-driven enterprises from all over the region to participate in Startup Cloud Camp Iloilo. She also encouraged people from the business sector to learn the benefits of cloud technology by joining the event.
Startup Cloud Iloilo, which will be held at John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University at M.H. Del Pilar St. will feature the latest uses of web-based cloud solutions to increasing the productivity and growth of existing businesses and budding entrepreneurs.
Participants will get to know building websites, mobile applications, and enterprise-class applications using Microsoft products. They will also learn about the basics of Microsoft’s BizSpark program which provides technology, support, and community to promising startups and entrepreneurs for free.
Software developers and tech startup founders will meanwhile learn about Azure, Microsoft’s new cloud platform which includes a growing collection of integrated services from computing, storage, data, networking, and applications.
The first Startup Cloud Camp event was held last April 2015 in Batangas. Events were also held in Bohol, Cebu, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, and General Santos City last month.
Startup Cloud Camp Iloilo is made possible with the support of Mavericks Web Marketing and Solutions Co., the John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University, and PRWorks Inc.
