- Globe and its employees are donating a portion of every Taste N’ Go transaction to the international hunger relief organization
Globe Telecom has launched a program where employees can help fund the initiatives of Rise Against Hunger Philippines (RAH) through in-house meal pre-ordering and seat-reservation app called Taste N' Go. This is part of its ongoing efforts to engage employees in its social responsibility practices.

Since July 3, 2018, Globe employees have been donating a portion of every Taste N’ Go transaction to RAH, a hunger relief organization that coordinates food distribution all over the Philippines.
This is part of its continuing partnership with Rise Against Hunger Philippines (RAH) that started in 2017.
For every transaction an employee makes, RAH receives a donation that funds its feeding program, which is geared specifically towards school children who are experiencing hunger in the Philippines.
"Helping those in need is an integral part of the Globe culture. Our Globe employees take their social responsibility to heart, this time in partnership with RAH. Through this partnership, we can continue supporting and helping families who are most in need,” said Yoly Crisanto, Globe Chief Sustainability Officer and Senior Vice President for Corporate Communications.
The Globe cafeteria, located on the 8th floor of its headquarters in Taguig City, features several merchants that offer a variety of food choices. The Taste N' Go app allows employees to order meals and reserve seats. They can tap on the menu of participating merchants, charge the order to their GCash account, and claim the order by presenting the order's QR Code.
A similar process applies in reserving a seat. Globe employees can select seats from the app and confirm the reservation by scanning the QR code on the table.
“This donation from Globe will help fund the supplemental feeding of over 10,000 children who are nutritionally at-risk,” said RAH Executive Director Jomar Fleras.
In continuing its support for RAH and going beyond helping the displaced families in Marawi, Globe extends its assistance and broadens employee volunteerism through this internal campaign.
"At Globe, we create a sustainable culture of social responsibility," Crisanto said. "We always try to find opportunities for employees to live the company's principles of being of service to others."
Globe has been actively participating and partnering with non-governmental organizations and government institutions in various social responsibility programs to strengthen its employee volunteerism and contribute to nation-building.
In the aftermath of the Marawi siege last year, RAH conducted a meal-packaging program wherein 300 Globe employees lent a hand in packing meals that were distributed to 3,500 families who fled the city and stayed in Saguiran, Lanao del Sur.
Globe intends to continue being an active supporter of RAH, which has been fulfilling its commitment to end hunger across the world for 20 years.
