Herschel Supply Co. opens at SM City Iloilo


Need a new backpack? You could find the one you're looking for at Herschel Supply Co. at SM City Iloilo. The Vancouver,Canada-based store just opened its 13th branch at the Upper Ground Floor of the mall's Northwing expansion.

Herschel was founded in 2009 by brothers Jamie and Lyndon Cormack which adopted the name of the Canadian prairie town where three generations of their family grew up. 
It was back in the early 1900s, when their great grandfather Peter Alexander Cormack, a barrel maker by trade, and his wife Annie made the journey from Scotland, to Canada. The couple settled in the small town of Herschel, whose current is counted at 30 residents. Today, this little town shares its name to a design driven global accessories brand that produces quality products with a fine regard for detail.
Which is which?
Back here in Iloilo, one can find more than just backpacks at the Herschel Supply Co. store. It has other bags like duffles, totes and hip packs plus a range of accessories from headgears and wallets to tech sleeves and more. Herschel has become a go-to brand for the hip and fashion conscious!
But backpacks are the ones on my radar and it's really a dilemma choosing the right one for me. Aside from the color combination and material of the backpack, there have designs to choose from. Let me enumerate: Classic, Dawson, Heritage, Lawson, Little America, Reid, Retreat, Ruskin, Settlement, Winlaw ... whew! I give up, just check this link for the complete list.

Herschel also have a products segmentation especially for the backpacks: Classics, Select, Studio and Bad Hills. These classifications are about the materials and designs thus dictating the price range with Bad Hills on top.
Wallets and Tech Sleeves also have the same make and materials as the bags thus having the same quality.
How about some caps to go with your bags? You can have it coordinated with just mix and match...
And they also have foldable bags which can fit into one of the pockets of bags then transforms into another bag. Perfect for those who always have to deal with extra baggages!
New collections are highlighted from time to time and during the opening it was the Sun Up Collection that had everyone'a attention. The collection combines tropical inspiration with ample storage, providing modern functionality for any excursion. Products under these have soft touch cotton-poly construction, signature striped fabric liner, vegetable tanned leather straps (for backpacks), magnetic strap closures with silver toned pin clips (backpacks) and Classic woven label, among others.
At the end of the day, it all depends on your style, needs and yes, budget too. With Herschel, you will surely find the one you've been looking for!
