RAFI – KAC conducts Pilmico Feeds Service Learning Program after Mt. Manunggal Land Expedition

Seventy-eight Pilmico Feeds employees completed their four-day Land Expedition Program organized by Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc - Kool Adventure Camp (RAFI-KAC) at Mt. Manunggal, Balamban, Cebu last February 4-7, 2015.  RAFI – KAC facilitators  and Pilmico Feeds employees gather for a group picture at Cambagocboc Elementary School.  With the theme “Breaking Records Through Me,” the land expedition was a journey of self-discovery for the employees, who came from different Pilmico branches different areas in the country. 

Megaworld’s townships population to reach 1-million by 2020

MANILA, Philippines, February 26, 2014 – As it aggressively expands its township developments across the country, real estate giant Megaworld announces that the population in its various urban townships is expected to reach at least one million by 2020. The PhP35B Iloilo Business Park  “By 2020, we expect to increase our total population by 150% in all of our urban townships, which will reach at least 1-million,” Dr. Tan announced.

Iloilo City hosts Asia-Pacific Taekwondo Invitational

The Philippine Taekwondo Association and the Iloilo City government have announced the staging of the 2015 Asia-Pacific Taekwondo Invitational Championships on Feb. 28 and March 1 at SM Iloilo City. Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog and Manuel Monsour del Rosario, PTA secretary general (seated), show the memorandum of agreement for the staging of the 2015 Asia-Pacific Taekwondo Invitational Championships. Winners of the 2015 Smart 'Doon Po Sa Amin' competition announced

Wireless services leader Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) presented the best local stories from among the entries submitted to the 7th Doon Po Sa Amin (DPSA) competition, the biggest and longest-running online local content activity that encourages Filipinos to join the digital conversation about the nation.   The awarding ceremony was held in Raffles Hotel in Makati to coincide with the 11th SWEEP Innovation and Excellence Awards, another grand annual event of the telco which recognizes student teams with the best technology innovations. 

Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) opens Young Minds Academy Season 9

The Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. - Eduardo Aboitiz Development Studies Center (RAFI-EADSC) launched the 9th season of its Young Minds Academy (YMA) program on February 7, Saturday, 1:30 p.m.at the RAFI-EADSC building, 35 Lopez Jaena Street, Cebu City. Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) Chief Operating Officer Dominica B. Chua speaks to around 300 student leaders, local government units and youth representatives, and out-of-school youth during the launching of the Young Minds Academy Season 9 last February 7, 2015 at the RAFI EADSC Plenary Hall on Lopez Jaena Street, Parian, Cebu City. Just like the 6th to 8th Season, YMA will have “Urban Development’” as theme for its 9th season in support of the Mega Cebu project.  This time, however, the program will put more emphasis on disaster preparation and humanitarian response.

Megaworld to expand Phlippine township portfolio this 2015

MANILA, Philippines, February 9, 2015 – Property giant Megaworld is aggressively expanding its township portfolio this year.
